Cong. McIntyre Should Clarify His Position on Boeing's N. Charleston Plant...

The new Boeing plant in N. Charleston, SC is approximately 125 miles from the border of North Carolina and the NC 7th congressional district. To deny that the economic impact of the plant would reach north across the NC border into NC7 would be folly. Of course it will. Or will it? The Obama administration has unloosened its union thugs at the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) on Boeing ( link ) for daring to build its new plant in the Right to Work State ( link2 ) of South Carolina. Which seems so much better than sending it to Brazil, China, India, et al doesn't it? But not if you're on the Left.

And, apparently, not if you are Cong. Mike McIntyre - D, NC7. Because according to the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) Cong McIntyre has not uttered a peep of protest against the NLRB or the Obama administration for this outright attack on the free enterprise system:

"Washington --- In his press conference Wednesday, President Obama joined North Carolina Democrat Mike McIntyre in refusing to weigh in on one of the most prominent recent examples of how the Democrats' regulatory spree has directly blocked the precious job creation needed in this bad economy. In this case, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is currently preventing Boeing from opening a new manufacturing plant in South Carolina, stalling the creation of thousands of jobs" ( see article in its entirety ) .

Is Congressman Mike against the plant? Has he spoken on the issue yet? We're not aware of it if he has. Or is he just torn? He did receive large donations from both Unions and Boeing in previous years. It is hard to accept that Cong McIntyre would oppose such an economic boost to the region after so many years of declining economic activity especially in southeast North Carolina's 7th which has roughly 11% unemployment district-wide and more in some counties. Let's all hope that Cong McIntyre will come clean and take a stand "for" the N. Charleston Boeing plant and for the economic surge that it will bring to the region.
